Bat Race 5K/10K

Batavia United Way hosts the Halloween-themed Bat Race 5K/10K walk/run every year in conjunction with Batavia’s BatFest. The 8th Annual 2021 Bat Race will take place on Saturday, October 30, 2021.

This chip-timed race draws runners from all over the Chicagoland area to the beautiful Fox River Trail bike path. The race begins and ends on River St. and State St. in downtown Batavia. Costumes are encouraged but not required and we have a costume contest for those who do come in costume!

This event is designed for runners of all ages and abilities. Participants can choose to walk or run the 5K or the 10K course. We even have a Kids’ Fun Run event for our youngsters. The 5K and 10K races will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the Kids’ Fun Run will begin at 9:30 a.m.

This event is a fundraiser for the Batavia United Way which provides support for Batavians in the areas of education, health, and financial stability.
