The Kaneland Foundation will be hosting its first Rotten Egg Hunt on April 30th at the Elburn Lions Club. This is an adults only event; 21 and over. Your $20 purchased ticket includes the egg hunt, one beverage (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) and one snack.
Doors open at 7:00 pm with the Rotten Egg Hunt starting at sunset; around 8:00 pm. It is an egg hunt in the dark, in April, so dress appropriately! You are allowed to bring some type of flashlight (headlamps, handhelds, phone lights, etc.) for the hunt. Most eggs will be dark in color but some will be glow in the dark; so a mix of easy and hard to find!
Once you have collected your eggs from the 3,000 hidden…well, kinda hidden…well, strewn about, you will return indoors to match your eggs’ numbers to the winning numbers at each sponsor’s table. (You will be told how many eggs you can pick up at the event; based on registration numbers) There will be a multitude of prizes to win!
There will be additional food and drinks available for purchase as well as a 50/50 raffle, so be sure to bring extra cash!
If you are a sponsor, you will be contacted with additional information for set-up times and table needs.
