We’ve all heard of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday, but do you know about GivingTuesday, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving?
Since 2016, The Dunham Foundation has provided digital fundraising and marketing workshops for nonprofits to promote GivingTuesday in our community. Over the past four years, Fox Valley area nonprofits have raised more than $4 million through GivingTuesday campaigns. These donations support services needed by our community members, such as youth services, food insecurities, and mental health counseling or substance abuse treatment.
How do I support my neighbors in need?
On Tuesday, November 30, 2021, visit your favorite nonprofit’s website or Facebook page and click on their DONATE button. If you need help finding a local service agency or finding a cause dear to your heart to support, CLICK HERE for a list of local nonprofits participating in GivingTuesday.
As a nonprofit, how do I get involved?
You can promote your organization’s GivingTuesday campaign on your social media platforms and website with a DONATE button for visitors to easily support your campaign.
Increase the opportunity for more dollars! If you are a nonprofit in the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley and Dunham Foundation Service Areas, including Aurora, Kendall County, and the TriCities, we invite you to participate in our GivingTuesday Challenge.
The Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley and Dunham Foundation have committed $24,000 in Incentive Awards for nonprofits that participate in GivingTuesday and sign up through the Challenge Grant Portal. Every eligible nonprofit (501c3) organization that submits a completed application through the GivingTuesday Challenge Grant portal will have its name placed in a lottery to receive an Incentive Award.
Twelve eligible nonprofit names will be drawn. Each organization whose name is drawn will be awarded $2,000. The winners will be announced during our Virtual GivingTuesday Celebration & Incentive Awards event on December 16th, 2021.
