The Air Classics Museum of Aviation, which opened in 1990 at the Aurora Municipal Airport, features a collection of aircraft, vehicles, uniforms, and other aviation memorabilia from the 1930s to present time where you can even climb into the pilot’s seat of a UH-1 Huey helicopter.
This grant from the Dunham Fund will help the Air Classics Museum of Aviation launch a Feasibility Study for expansion of the Museum, to bring a newly constructed venue and gathering space, along with new programming, with a specific focus on active and retired military families.
