With

this grant, Dunham Fund was the Presenting Sponsor for one of David McCullough’s

rare appearances, providing insight into the research and writing of his book

“The Wright Brothers”, a #1 New York Time Bestseller. The October 3, 2015 presentation was part

of Aurora University’s 2015-16 Arts & Ideas series, offered as a public

service to the Greater Aurora community. McCullough has been widely acclaimed

as a “master of the art of narrative history.”

He is twice winner of the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award and

has received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian

award.

This grant was approved through the Dunham Foundation’s Ready for the Future RFP Grant and supports Wayside Cross Ministries’ Urban Youth Ministries (UYM) Program.
