The Dunham Fund is proud to continue support for the Celebrating Arts and Ideas Main Stage Series at Aurora University. This initiative brings world-renowned artists, performers, writers, and intellectuals to families throughout the Fox Valley community – free of charge.
In the 2018-2019 series, the Dunham Fund helped support the first performance and discussion with the Joffrey Studio Company and Academy Trainees. Aurora University also hosted author Walter Isaacson, professor and historian Peter Hayes, and Southern Poverty Law Center’s Lecia Brooks.
A $35,000 grant from Dunham Fund will help to support the 2019-2020 series includes best-selling author, journalist, and filmmaker, Alex Kotlowitz; VOCES8, a British vocal ensemble, and John Meacham, Pulitzer Prize-winning author, and presidential historian. Additionally, Jessie Close and Calen Pick, mental health advocates, will lead a timely conversation on the stigma and misunderstanding of mental health disorders.
