The Dunham Fund is partnering with the local Boy Scouts of America council (Three Fires Council) as they expand their STEM program, Hispanic outreach, and family scouting programs with a $40,000 grant.
The Three Fires Council identified major initiatives to help serve the Fox Valley community will include expanding staff including bilingual speaking staff and facilities at the local Camp Big Timber scout camp while also introducing more innovative STEM activities.
Foxfire Special Needs Committee / $1,500
Dunham Fund is proud to partner with the Boy Scouts of America (Foxfire District’s Special Needs Committee of Aurora) with a $1,500 grant to build an adaptive climbing wall for kids with special needs. This portable rock wall is specially designed to allow people with physical limitations or disabilities to climb up the wall without assistance.
This project will directly benefit the Fox Valley community and provide recreational opportunities to members of the community with disabilities.
