This $15,000 Dunham Fund grant makes it possible for the community to access free health screenings and review their results with a health care and social service professional at the annual Compañeros health festival. This annual health festival provides health resources and services to the Hispanic community and other diverse groups who do not have easy access to health care or are uninsured.
The 37-component screening serves as a necessary tool to prevent future health care problems while screening for cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, and beyond.
In addition to offering health screenings during the annual festival, this volunteer-driven coalition partners with nonprofit agencies to bring awareness about health and social services available in Aurora.
