Fox Valley Hands of Hope (FVHH), through its Project Hope program, serves children ages 5 through 18 who have experienced the death or loss of someone close to them.
The team of clinicians and dedicated volunteers addresses the unique grieving needs of children in 40 schools throughout Kane County — right in the school setting — allowing them to receive support in a convenient location when they need it most.
This grant from the Dunham Fund will allow FVHH to train additional volunteers with high-quality, rigorous training tools and focus their efforts in the Aurora school districts, working alongside clinical staff to serve more children in the schools.
