Girls Run the World

The Dunham Fund awarded a $2,500 grant to Girls Run the World (GRTW) for its annual 5K Walk/Run Party in the Park. GRTW is an empowerment program run by the Aurora Police Department, serving Metea Valley High School, East Aurora High School, and West Aurora High School, offering participants coping and conflict resolution skills, educational mentoring and leadership elevation.

This annual event provides a direct opportunity for participants to showcase their Passion Projects, talk about the impact GRTW has had in their lives and affords them the chance to interact with positive female role models who are local and interested in their success.

This grant provided support for the annual 5K Walk/Run Party in the Park.

Wayside Cross Ministries

This grant was approved through the Dunham Foundation’s Ready for the Future RFP Grant and supports Wayside Cross Ministries’ Urban Youth Ministries (UYM) Program. The UYM program provides tutoring and mentoring support to Aurora-area students during the school year and summer programming. UYM will also engage other partners through this funding to broaden tutoring and programming offers for their students.
