#ILGive on GivingTuesday is gaining major traction as a unique way to encourage individuals to support their favorite charity or cause on a specific day. It is also a great way for nonprofits to build their skills in digital marketing and digital fundraising. GivingTuesday is a global giving movement and #ILGive is specific to nonprofits in Illinois.
In partnership with Forefront, educational workshops are held for nonprofits in the Dunham Fund Service Area and the broader Fox River Valley during the fall leading up to Thanksgiving. These workshops teach nonprofits skills needed to run successful digital marketing and fundraising, best practices for hosting an #ILGive campaign and how to engage others to support their campaign the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
The Dunham Fund is designating $36,000 in grant dollars towards #ILGive Incentive Awards. After the GivingTuesday event, qualifying organizations will have a chance to win a $2,000 Incentive Award — in addition to the money they raise during the #ILGive campaign. 18 Incentive Awards will be randomly drawn and awarded to qualifying organizations at a post-event Celebration Party.
