Mutual Ground

Mutual Ground’s Domestic Violence program has been sheltering victims of domestic violence for 43 years, and serves more than 1,000 victims each year, providing emergency shelter and services, a 24-hour crisis hotline, advocacy, counseling, and referral services. As the only domestic violence shelter in the Fox Valley area, Mutual Ground’s services are vital to supporting our community.

Support from the Dunham Fund will help Mutual Ground to continue providing its 24/7 emergency shelter services in a 28-bed facility, ensuring that domestic violence victims and their children have a safe place to stay when they are in danger and have no other support system in place.

Wayside Cross Ministries

This grant was approved through the Dunham Foundation’s Ready for the Future RFP Grant and supports Wayside Cross Ministries’ Urban Youth Ministries (UYM) Program. The UYM program provides tutoring and mentoring support to Aurora-area students during the school year and summer programming. UYM will also engage other partners through this funding to broaden tutoring and programming offers for their students.
