Northwestern Memorial Foundation – LivingWell Cancer Resource Center

LivingWell opened in Geneva in 2005, serving more than 38,000 visits per year, offering free programs and services designed to strengthen, empower, educate, and provide hope to patients with cancer and their families.

LivingWell is preparing to build a new online registration system that will allow LivingWell to offer patients and their families an easier way to sign up for, change, and cancel appointments at any hour of the day. Additionally, this system will reduce the time required of volunteers by at least 90%, allowing volunteers to spend their valuable time assisting with programming or visiting with patients during their time at LivingWell.

Funding from the Dunham Fund will help LivingWell purchase this system to help streamline its registration, making it easier for patients and their families to access the programming they need as they work to care for themselves during their diagnosis and recovery.

This grant helped LivingWell Cancer Resource Center purchase an online registration system.

Wayside Cross Ministries

This grant was approved through the Dunham Foundation’s Ready for the Future RFP Grant and supports Wayside Cross Ministries’ Urban Youth Ministries (UYM) Program. The UYM program provides tutoring and mentoring support to Aurora-area students during the school year and summer programming. UYM will also engage other partners through this funding to broaden tutoring and programming offers for their students.

During the exhibit’s time in Aurora, there will be various film screenings, community conversations, and educational sessions that explore the exhibit and documentary’s themes and their relevance to our community today.
