Paramount Theatre

The Paramount Theatre is partnering with Chicago Shakespeare Theater for a free event at RiverEdge Park in Aurora. These free performances by Chicago Shakespeare Theater will introduce local children, families, and adults to the power and brilliance of the work of William Shakespeare.

This mission of the Paramount and Chicago Shakespeare Theater in putting on this performance is to expose as many people as possible to Shakespeare for the first time, in an area where there are not many live Shakespeare performances.

Dunham Fund is proud to provide a $30,000 grant to help cover the cost of artists’ fees for Chicago Shakespeare Theater. The event will be held in August 2019.

This grant was approved through the Dunham Foundation’s Ready for the Future RFP Grant and supports Wayside Cross Ministries’ Urban Youth Ministries (UYM) Program. The UYM program provides tutoring and mentoring support to Aurora-area students during the school year and summer programming. UYM will also engage other partners through this funding to broaden tutoring and programming offers for their students.
