Quad County Urban League

The Quad County Urban League supports racial justice, civil rights, and economic empowerment programs for people living in Kane, Kendall, Will, and DuPage counties. Dunham Fund is supporting this year’s annual Equity Gala, which raises funds to support Quad County Urban League programs including financial literacy programs, the Youth Leadership Program for students ages 13-17, workforce development programs, and more.

This $30,000 grant will help the Quad County Urban League produce the 2018 Equity Gala, which will serve as a vital community awareness and fundraising event – connecting new and existing partners to the important ongoing work of the Quad County Urban League.

Wayside Cross Ministries

This grant was approved through the Dunham Foundation’s Ready for the Future RFP Grant and supports Wayside Cross Ministries’ Urban Youth Ministries (UYM) Program. The UYM program provides tutoring and mentoring support to Aurora-area students during the school year and summer programming. UYM will also engage other partners through this funding to broaden tutoring and programming offers for their students.

During the exhibit’s time in Aurora, there will be various film screenings, community conversations, and educational sessions that explore the exhibit and documentary’s themes and their relevance to our community today.
