RITAS Ministry

The Dunham Fund is supporting Restoring Inmates To America’s Society (RITAS)’s new Transitional Jobs program with a $1,000 grant. This grant will support the ongoing work of RITAS Ministry, a faith-based nonprofit organization that provides a holistic approach to help reintegrate former inmates back into society.

The Transitional Jobs program is part of a pilot program that will help former inmates living in the Fox Valley return to the workforce. The program will focus on assisting people with criminal records and limited employment experience find jobs that combine real work, skill development and training, and support. Participants in the Transitional Jobs program will receive the coaching and assistance they need to build vocational skills and become productive employees.

Wayside Cross Ministries

This grant was approved through the Dunham Foundation’s Ready for the Future RFP Grant and supports Wayside Cross Ministries’ Urban Youth Ministries (UYM) Program. The UYM program provides tutoring and mentoring support to Aurora-area students during the school year and summer programming. UYM will also engage other partners through this funding to broaden tutoring and programming offers for their students.
