St. Rita of Cascia School’s Preparing For the Future with Today’s Technology program will overhaul the curriculum to be personalized and fully digital, helping to dramatically increase the availability of hands-on learning technology for St. Rita of Cascia students. This grant of $275,000 will be dispersed in 2018 and 2019.
In order to prepare students for the future and provide opportunities to all students despite economic hardships, this grant will help provide several key resources for St. Rita of Cascia students.
- Every St. Rita of Cascia 6-8th grade student with a tablet. Students will use this device in all of their classes, which will feature 1:1 tailored instruction – allowing for accelerated learning or additional support for students.
- Younger grades will have access to new tablets in the computer lab. This digital transformation will also include expanding and restructuring St. Rita’s vital ESL program by integrating the new technology and digital curriculum for students. The new technology in the computer lab will support the new St. Rita of Cascia Community Literacy Center for school family members and people in the community.
This technology-focused approach to learning will help St. Rita of Cascia School continue to provide exceptional high school preparation to Aurora students regardless of income or economic status.
