Suicide Prevention Services of America

Through education, early identification, early treatment, and group support, Suicide Prevention Services (SPS) takes an innovative and new approach to the critical issue of youth suicide prevention.

SPS seeks to stop suicide before a critical situation arrives, rather than react in the wake of a suicide attempt. Suicide is preventable; identifying the warning signs early through comprehensive services makes a difference and can save many lives.

Support from the Dunham Fund allowed SPS to create a video highlighting the services they provide, bringing more awareness to the organization, and suicide prevention in our community.

Wayside Cross Ministries

This grant was approved through the Dunham Foundation’s Ready for the Future RFP Grant and supports Wayside Cross Ministries’ Urban Youth Ministries (UYM) Program. The UYM program provides tutoring and mentoring support to Aurora-area students during the school year and summer programming. UYM will also engage other partners through this funding to broaden tutoring and programming offers for their students.

During the exhibit’s time in Aurora, there will be various film screenings, community conversations, and educational sessions that explore the exhibit and documentary’s themes and their relevance to our community today.
